First South African Safari....A bit overwhelmed

Hello All. In my introduction post I mentioned my wife and I are planning our first SA Safari for spring (US) 2028. We have attended DSC and SCI Nashville and quite frankly our head is spinning from information overload. This is going to be a very special trip for us since it will be the year of my 60th birthday as well as our 40th wedding anniversary, so we want it to be a very special and memorable trip.

BUCK KNIVES- Excellent Customer Service

I have a Buck 110 clip point that my Dad gave me for a graduation gift in 1986. (Blade is marked with < )

Model 70 extra power firing pin spring

Does anyone know where I can find an extra power firing pin spring for a current production Winchester Safari Express?

I had one light primer strike with my handloads yesterday. I’m not sure if it was due to a hard primer, not fully seated primer or a weak spring. I’m thinking of replacing it and putting a 25-30 pound spring. I just can’t find any in stock through Wolff. Primers were struck decently, but show better strikes with factory ammunition. I was using CCI magnum primers.

No more cutting foam; Pelican Re-Set

My Pelican 1700 has two mid-layers of foam cut for two different pairs of guns. They have been relegated to the scrap foam pile to be used when I have a need for a chunk of firm foam in some project. They have been replaced with Pelican's Re-Set grids. Stumbled on this new system a couple weeks before the SCI convention while looking for something else. Tested on the flight to Nashville. This system works.
