New vs vintage 450/400NE double rifle
I hope one day in the next few years to purchase my first double rifle. I have pretty much decided on a 450/400 Chapius but I occasionally see a vintage British 450/400NE 3in in a similar price range of the Chapius. My question for everyone is if you don't reload your own ammunition, does factory specifically Hornady ammo tend (emphasis on tend) to regulate decent in older British 450/400s? Thoughts?
Remington 700 Custom BDL in 375 H&H Mag
Here is Remington 700 Custom BDL in 375 H&H Mag for $1200 face to face or I can ship for actual shipping cost. I was told this started life as a Rem 700 SS and then got a 24" SS Wilson match grade 1:12 twist barrel. The stock is a Stockys blue laminated BDL model special edition no longer offered. Bedded and free floated. Good solid Remington trigger. Scope bases included. Jeweled bolt. The stock has a small part of the stock chipped out. I am not the original owner, and I was told there...

Turn of century Rigby Mauser .275
Well what can I say.
I didn't think I'd ever see a true pre war Rigby in Canada for sale. Let alone afford one. I still remember seeing PaulB posting his pre war Rigby .275 lineup photo and my jaw hitting the floor.

Currently sits in a period correct husqvarna stock, which I don't mind at all, as it fits amazingly. And I will have my brother do some stock work on it...

The Funniest Thing you ever saw someone do Hunting
When I was in Highschool, my father was a materials-man for a major oil company in West Texas and we got invited hunting on any number of occasions. One company took us to hunt Dove in the irrigated fields of Pecos County in West Texas. The hunting was slow, but productive. The fields were irrigated from ditches of water from the Pecos River. The process was controlled by gates on the irrigation ditches. The gates straddle from the two levies forming the sides of the ditch and they stand...

Terminal Performance With Lightweight .284” Bullets in Africa — Ron Spomer Outdoors
The general consensus among hunters is that African game -- everyday antelope species as well as the bigger stuff -- is tougher than North American game and requires heavier, “harder hitting” cartridges and bullets. Think 300 magnums, 338 Win. Mag., 375 H&H Magnum, and larger. By the same
